My musical journey started near Münster at the age of 11, playing multiple instruments in bands and recording on a four-track tape deck.

In 1999, I moved to Berlin to study double bass, being part of the vibrant Berlin jazz scene of the early 2000s. This led to a few years of touring through different countries and receiving some awards with various bands. Our band, Olaf Ton, was recognized as a catalyst in those days by the Jazzinstitut Darmstadt, which in 2019 also hosted an exhibition on our big band project, Brigade Futur 3.

From 2003 onward, my focus shifted more towards songwriting, production, and touring the world with my band, Super700 for nearly a decade.

Simultaneously, I was expanding my musical playground by creating compositions for theater, film, and radio plays. From 2011 to 2015, I lived in Kosovo, collaborating with a multitude of local artists.

Over time, I also spent all in all nearly two years working in theater in Switzerland.

Currently, I operate from my studio, THE COP SHOP, in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, focusing on writing and producing for theater plays and projects like Brigade Futur III and the Swiss National Jazz Youth Orchestra (jugendjazzorchester.ch), together with my long-time collaborator, Benjamin Weidekamp.

Recently, I curated and composed music for my first TV show, "Like a Loser" on ZDF Neo.

Additionally, I continue to produce, mix, and master music for others, contributing to projects that have amassed about 20 million plays in alternative music circles.
